Lots of great art by local artists. I have a good selection of work on display there.
I've had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember, but I didn't get into landscape photography until I moved to Florida in Oct of 2006. It’s the colors I see in the sunrises and sunsets along the coast line that inspire me.
However, I don’t consider myself a photographer as much as an artist. The question I get most often about my work is whether or not the work has been enhanced. The easiest answer I've been able to come up with is "yes, I bracket shots using different exposures of light, and then blend them together digitally using layers". My technique is most often referred to as "blended exposure". Exposure blending is an art in itself that takes a long time to master. I am the only one I know who uses the particular style of blending you will see in my work.
I print my works are printed on archival satin paper using High Definition inks that are fade resistant for 95+ years behind glass. All works are signed and numbered.
For numbering, all my prints of a particular piece are printed in the same open series. Unlike the traditional numbering systems where you can have multiple #1 prints due to sizing, I have “only one #1, #2, etc…” of each piece.
